Ski Chalet Details

Chalet Anna is a very spacious home built on 3 levels. The 4 guest bedrooms are all fully en suite with either shower room or bath and shower room. (To see chalet layout and 360 views of the rooms, log onto www.vv360.co.uk and click on "Examples"). Rooms are light and airy and have lots of storage and space.

The rest of the house is decorated in a contemporary, cosy Austrian style consists of living room (with seating for all), plus TV, DVD, stereo, south facing balcony with mountain views and traditional wood burning oven, the dining room where we serve our 3 course meals with wine and generous breakfasts, guest tea kitchen where you can help yourself to a drink, store your own beers/ wines etc or buy something from "Andy's Snacks", a boot room complete with table football and darts and the all important ski boot warmer!! The additional large south facing deck in the large garden and the 2 southfacing balconies off 2 bedrooms ensure that you can catch the rays whilst enjoying homemade cake and tea (oh, alright then, a beer!), at the end of the day.

The chalet is VERY STRICTLY non smoking and this includes even the balconies and garden.

Rental Facilities

We aim to make your ski holiday as easy as possible. Whether you are complete beginners needing a lot of help and guidance, or more experienced skiers looking to get the most out of your lift pass, then as ex ski instructors and school ski party leaders, we are the ones!

From the minute you book with us, we feed you information and help. When you step off the plane at Salzburg, you are collected in our 4 wheel drive minibus, and, if you have arrived on the early flight, you could be skiing in Zell am See by midday! We accompany you to ski/ boot hire/ fit and our local hire shop man, Peter Gunther, will make sure that he supplies you with the best equipment to match your abilities. We assist you in buying the right lift pass suitable for your ability and needs and advise on the best slopes depending upon weather and your ability. If you need lessons , then again, we help you to get off to the best start possible by personally taking you to meet your instructor. If you are already a skier, then we will happily guide you round the mountain to get the most out of your week. You need never look at a piste map all week!

Chalet Food

Chalet Anna offers 3 course evening meals with wine on 6 nights out of 7 (on one night in the week you go out to eat at your own expense). We pride ourselves on being very flexible and are more than happy to cater for eg vegetarians. We have regular guests who come back to us because dealing with their particular dietary requirements is no problem at all. Each day starts with a generous breakfast of juices, hot drinks, fresh bakery bread/ rolls, fresh fruit salad or melon, yoghurts, cereals/ porridge, cheeses and cold meats, homemade preserves, boiled eggs and on 3 days you will receive a cooked breakfast

Afternoon tea consists of tea or coffee and homemade cake or a local specialty from the village bakery.

Evening meals are a mix of tastes ranging from traditional Austrian to spicy Asian, but we very much match your needs. An example of an evening meal : Austrian pumpkin soup with homemade bread, Italian chicken stuffed with mozzarella and basil, sticky toffee pudding and Austrian wines.

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Ski Chalet Chalet Anna is in Zell am See, Austria

Chalet Anna is in an amazing location. The chalet is sited in a village called Uttendorf which is 15 minutes from Zell am See. Uttendorf is a working village and is well appointed with small shops and facilities. The village lies on the wide sunny valley floor so there are no scary hairpin bends to climb to access our property or the skiing available (apart from our local Weissee Glacier). From the chalet, we quickly access ski areas such as Zell am See, Kitzbuhel, Kaprun, Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, Neukirchen, Saalbach Hinterglemm and the Zillertal Arena. This means that intermediate ski groups can ski up to 7 different resorts in 1 week (dependant upon weather and ski abilities)

The whole area is littered with a wide variety of tourist attractions and activities , so the chalet is an ideal base for winter or summer holidays, and there is enough for non skiers to do. From Zell am See, the Mozart city of Salzburg is only 1 hour by train and passes stunning scenery, whilst 1 hour driving south from us gets you into Italy.

Zell am See Guide

Zell am See is different to other Austrian ski resorts - not a rustic village but a lakeside town - with a lake called the same name. Skiing in Zell am See Zell am See has teamed up with the nearby and smaller Kaprun to create the large Zell am See-Kaprun skiing region. There is a...
