Ski Chalet Details

      Front door opens onto Entrance hall with a wellequiped kitchen leading off to the right. There is a good sized sitting/dining room with log burner and french windows opening onto a private terrace. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom. There is also a seperate family bathroom.  All bedrooms contain two single beds which can be made up either as one double or two single beds, as required. All the bedrooms are situated at the front of the house to benefit from the fantastic views of the Pyrenees (as does the terrace)

A    A certain amount of logs are provided in the rental price, a small charge will be made for extra logs. Timed heating is included in the price.

Cots and Highchairs available.

Linen and towels are included.

Rental Facilities

The large (12m x 6m) pool,  provides luxury entertainment and training facilities to meet the range of our guests’ requirements.

 Overlooking the adjoining fields, with fantastic views of the Pyrenees, we have a large, fenced sun terrace with sun-loungers and chairs.The pool conforms to the latest stringent French safety standards.

A feature of the pool is an adjustable high performance Fastlane jetstream from Endless Pools, which allows you to swim hard into a smooth, turbulence free current of water without the hassle of lots of turns.

GYM                                                                                                                                 There is a good sized gym available for guests to use with a good selection of equipment to use including:

·         Free weights and dumbbells

        Concept 2 rowing machine

·         Canoe ergo machine

·         Bench press

·         Shoulder press

·         Olympic lifts platform with bars and weights

·         Chins bar

·         good multi gym

·         punch bag

·         Selection of fitness balls and medicine balls

There is also a large communal under cover eating area.

The grounds have been landscaped to enable visitors to enjoy the views, with secluded or communal seating areas, a herb garden, shrubs and trees.

There is parking for up to six cars.

Chalet Food

We do offer a catered service if you require including buffet breakfasts and 3 course evening meal with wine and coffee.

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Ski Chalet Chalet Tourmalet is in Tourmalet, France

The centre is situated in an idyllic, rural hamlet, Thuy, overlooking the Pyrenees in SW France. It is surrounded by quiet lanes and gentle hillsides, with the mountains of the Pyrenees providing a spectacular, ever-changing backdrop to the scenery. In winter, the snow-covered peaks glistening in the sunshine, are breath-taking, whilst in summer they are an artist’s palette of every shade of green.

Although rural, Thuy is not totally isolated. It is ten minutes from the small town of Tournay and its motorway junction, and has good links to airports and major road and rail networks. The mountains are easily accessible by car, bike, or our minibus and Landrover. A short distance to the North, is the department of the Gers, providing a very different type of scenery, with sunflowers, rolling hills, small market towns and gastronomic delights.

You can easily access upto 6 different ski resorts with the closest being La mongie/Tourmalet domain which is the largest skiable area in the Pyrenees apart form Andorra.
