Tourmalet is the biggest skiing resort area in the French Pyrenees along with Bareges and La Mongie. With a total of 120km of skiing pistes and 50 lifts the skiin area is more suited intermediates and with good snow conditions the off-piste areas are superb. The resort offers little in the way of night-life but when compared to the prices within the Alps it is a very affordable location.
