Ski Chalet Details

This 5 Star luxury chalet is in a ski in/ski out position overlooking the ancient spa town of St Gervais.

The chalet was completed in 2007 after a 3 year extensive renovation procedure. Access to the chalet is from a junction on the main St Gervais to Megeve road and by a well maintained and snow free lane.

Ground floor has large, comfortable lounge with open log fire and dining area seating up to 14. There is also a seperate TV room with Wii and dvd players. Laundry room and cloakroom, the first of the large double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom (this room can comfortably accomodate 3 adults) and lastly the fully equiped kitchen.
 
The full length balcony offer unobstructed views of Montblanc and the Chaine du Fizz and a panorama of the village of St Gervais les Bains

The open plan staircase leads you to the mezzanine where you will find a cosy area reserved for reading with plenty of books. This floor also leads to the 5 remaining generous double rooms. All with ensuite facilities and 2 supporting an extra bed.
 
All our beds are dressed with egyptian cotton linen and we provide towels, bathrobes and slippers.
 
After a long day on the slopes the guests are encouraged to use the 4 person sauna in the basement and the outdoor jacuzzi with views of Mont Blanc. There is also a fully equipped gym if the days skiing wasn't enough!

Each evening our chef will prepare your 4 course gourmet dinner with carefully selected local ingredients. Each course will be accompanied by selected wines. There is a generously stocked bar should you have appetite left after dinner. Children are offered their own menu at an earlier time.

We also provide a secure ski room with boot drier system. Car parking for up to 6 vehicles. A courtesy mini bus for transfers and in resort transport. A snow guarantee between January and March. For self catered options please contact the manager

Chalet Food

At Ski Marco Polo we pride ourselves on the standard of food we serve to our guests. If there is a word that combines 'gourmet' and 'gourmand' it should be applied to our productions. All our ingredients are bought locally to ensure freshness and quality. In advance of your holiday our chef Haydn will send you his recipe book and a weekly menu sheet. From this you may select your choice of meals and also indicate any allergies or forbidden foods your party may have. All the dishes are made to exacting standards and are designed to be both nourishing and delicious. We also offer themed dinner experiences, wine tasting and French cookery lessons

Starting with breakfast you may decide that you require a cooked meal to give you energy for the days activities or just 'continental' because its quicker! Every morning you will find freshly baked croissants and bread as well as English bacon, sausages, hand made by the chef and the usual accompaniments for a good breakfast. Guests usually eat lunch at one of the many restaurants in and around the resort. On your return to Chalet Marco Polo you will be greeted by an afternoon tea with freshly made cake.

The evening meal begins with an aperitif and what the French call an 'amuse bouche'. The meal will consist of an entree, fish course, main and dessert. Each of the 4 courses of your dinner will be accompanied by an appropriately selected wine. If you still have room the generous cheese board will be brought out or you may prefer to retire to the lounge with a coffee and cognac.
