Bulgaria Snow Report overview 15th Jan 2010
The recent mild weather has taken its toll in Bulgaria, especially at Borovets (5/50cm) and Pamporovo (5/15cm). The snow cover is still patchy across most of Pamporovo while the situation has improved at Borovets. A light dusting of snow fell on Sunday and while not enough to really alter the conditions this was a sign that it has got colder. The resort has fortunately been able to get the snow cannons operating and this has really helped to improve the overall conditions. There are however some hard packed patches in places so do take care.
The conditions are better at Bansko (70/105cm) thanks to a much deeper snow base. All of the runs were open on Monday along with most of the lifts so there is plenty of terrain available there.
