I organised a holiday for 36 people, ranging from 50+ to 7 years old. The organisation beforehand was made easy by the help and local knowledge of our hosts Jo and Rob. On arrival our expectations were exceeded and the chalet was utterly charming. The standard of the finish in the chalet is excellent in all areas. The bar/dining area was particularly good with great views and a traditional Austrian ambience.

The rooms and appartments were excellent and the communal areas were exactly what we needed for a large and diverse group. The food was very good and the service from Jo and Rob was outstanding. Every detail was taken care of and the pressure was definitely off me as a party leader because every wrinkle was smoothed out effortlessly by our hosts.

The majority of the party were skiing or boarding but there was also plenty to keep a few walkers happy in the group also. The skiing was good considering the warm Easter weather and we even had a morning of fresh snow to work on. Having access to our own tranport was a help but not essential as the chalet does offer a shuttle service and there is a ski bus stop nearby. It was a very successful holiday, very relaxing and many are already talking about a return visit.

As a veteran of ten years running large group holidays I can safely say that the Hoffelner is very hard to beat for a high standard of accommodation, service and value for money. A great destination for your summer holiday too as the chalet is tied in to the local scheme for reduced rates on summer activities. I would fully endorse the Pension Hoffelner as a great place to visit.

We have just returned from a week at Pension Hoffelner. Enjoyed every minute.Our room was delightful - the views from our balcony stunning. Joanna and Robert were really helpful with suggestions for trips and ideas of where to eat while out and about. Not that we could eat much as Robert,s breakfasts were substantial and his dinners varied and delicious. As for Joanna,s cakes and desserts -scrummy! One of our best holidays.

I can't begin to thank Rob, Joanna and their family enough for making our week so memorable. The room was lovely and the bed so comfortable that I slept without waking from the first night ... really unusual for me when staying away from home!

The food was superb - Rob catered for every palate and we had a veggie, a non-fish eater and a fussy eater in our crowd. Nothing seemed too much trouble to the extent that he would come up with an imaginative alternative to make sure that all were full and happy!!!

We chose the daily shuttle to the slopes as did another group - which was a potential logistical nightmare. However, everything was done to accommodate the needs and wishes of both groups throughout the week.

On Thursday evening we took up the recommendation to go sledging. We had a lovely meal at the top of the mountain and 3 runs down (with a schnapps at the bottom and top of the slope between each run). The food was great as was the sledging ... I don't remember the last time I laughed so much! Martin, the local taxi driver, transported us in comfort from and to the slope and was happy to wait for half an hour at the end whilst we had a hot chocolate to round the night off (and for no extra charge)!

Rob and Joanna are the perfect hosts - they looked after our every need and even joined in a few games of Farkle with us! Our last night was spent designing a new cocktail list for the bar - so if you are offered a Jaggies or a Coffmeister (or, indeed, something with a name too rude to be mentioned here), try it ... it won't hurt a bit!!!

Joanna & Rob were excellent hosts from the start of our holiday. They have a natural ability to run an efficient operation as well as making their guests feel welcome and relaxed, which was perfect mix for an agreeable holiday. The skiing was excellent, with a number of separate ski areas. The children particularly liked the night tobogganing.
