Samoens Practicalities

Practical information and Apres Ski guide to Samoens

Samoens is one of the more challenging of the five Grand Massif mountain range resorts, with stunning views and virtually no queues.

Bars and clubs

La Clarine has Alpine decor and is popular with locals, while Covey's Irish Pub is open until late. For cocktails and an open fire go to La Bois de Lune.

Eating

La Louisiane is famed for wood-fired pizzas, but for cosy local French Savoyard dishes LaTornalta is well priced with lots of cheese. La Table de Fifine is more upmarket, while on the slopes Restaurant I'Epicea is a gem with a sun terrace.

Remember to avoid

The summit if you're a beginner: stick to the specially made lower slopes.
