Ski Chalet Details

Chalet Marvel sits amongst a hamlet of farmhouses just 2km from the medieval village of Samoens and a choice of three telecabines taking you up to the 265km of the Grand Massif ski area.

The chalet has four bedrooms, three bathrooms (two ensuite), superb double height living room with doors opening to veranda and garden with heated pool.

The chalet can sleep up to 12. 

There is a garage and private car port.

Rental Facilities

The chalet is extremely spacious and comfortable. 

The entrance hall has an area for storing ski boots and jackets, skis can be kept in the garage which is reached from the hall as well as outside.  On the ground floor there is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.  Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. 

On the first floor there is stunning double height living room which stretches the length of the house.   The dining area has doors opening on to a veranda and the garden and the living room  has doors leading to a balcony.  From all the windows there are beautiful views of the valley and mountains around.  There is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and on the landing a w.c.

The second floor has a twin bedroom and family bedroom with bunk beds, single bed and truckle bed.  There is a large bathroom.

In the living room there is a double sofa bed and a bunk room on the ground floor with bunk beds.

Chalet Food

The chalet is available self catered or catered.  There is plenty of equipment for cooking your own meals at the chalet but if you would prefer to be looked after a fully catered option is available.

Fully Catered   Continental breakfast daily; croissants, bread, jams, honey, nutella, cereals, boiled eggs, fresh fruit. Tea, coffee, fruit juices Afternoon teas laid out for their return from the slopes, daily;Cake of the day, a selection of hot drinks and squash. Evening meal on 6 nights of your stay:For children there is an option of high tea served at 6.30 that will be a two course menu agreed in advance with the parents. For adults a four course meal including unlimited winea typical menu would be;  Starter Goats cheese stack with a pesto drizzle MainHoney glazed duck with dauphinoise potatoes and julienne vegetables DessertLovely lemony pud with a raspberry coulis To finish a selection of local cheeses and chutney with fresh coffee.  We can cater for Vegetarians, and special diets on request. 

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Ski Chalet Chalet Marvel is in Samoens, France

The chalet is in the hamlet of L'Etelley, which is between the villages of Morillon and Samoens.  The valley has the River Giffre running along the centre and there are some wonderful walks or cross country skiing along the banks.

The medieval village of Samoens has plenty of shops to wander round and an excellent variety of restaurants.  On Wednesday there is a local market.

The ice-rink in the village is open during the day and also in the evenings so it is fun to go in for a meal and a skate.  Dog sleigh rides are also available.

There are 265km of skiing available in the Grand Massif ski area but should you wish to try somewhere else, Les Gets is only 20 minutes away with the skiing of the Portes de Soleil and 45 minutes away is Chamonix.
