Situated 12 km from Val d'lsere, Sainte Foy is the ideal resort for experienced skiers and beginners alike. It's relatively quiet, without much nightlife, so it is great for families and groups who are looking for a bit of escapism. Probably due to the lack of clubs and bars this is a less populated resort, which means relatively short waits for lifts and plenty of room on the slopes.
It is difficult to pinpoint why the place is so good - after all, there are only four chairs and 15 runs. But the fantastic terrain (there are two dedicated 'freeride off-piste areas') and the lack of crowds make it something of a gem for advanced and intermediates looking to stretch their wings in a true Alpine environment.

Complete beginners should take the Grand Plan chair and acquaint themselves with the Plan Bois run. Once confidence is up, there are a good number of blues.
Eight reds should keep you busy. They snake over the entire resort and encompass every type of terrain.
For experts this resort is a delight, and if you're lucky enough to getfresh snow you'll be in hog heaven. Take the LAiguille chair and head both ways into the sanctioned off-piste zones. Or hire a guide and get exploring.
Situated close to the large ski areas of Tignes, Val d’Isère and les Arcs, Sainte Foy Tarentaise offers all the charm of a mountain village with its top of the range chalets built from stone and wood, providing breathtaking views to Mont Pourri. Ste Foy has something to offer for everyone, with excellent terrain whether you’re a skier or boarder you’ll find it hard to be disappointed.
Its quality ski area is renowned for its many off-pistes itineraries with the inauguration of the new 6-seater detachable chair lift, les Marquises, in December 2006.
Within just several meters of the pistes you can be skiing in the tress or on one of the many off piste routes including the infamous north face of Fogliettaz.
Sainte Foy lays close to the Italian border and is accessed from Bourg St-Maurice which offers direct access to a number of major ski resorts in the area. St Foy is a small quite village that only offers an handful of lifts but provides access to Val d’Isere which combined provides some excellent skiing.
