Saint Martin de Belleville, the charm and authenticity of a village-resort. Stone, wood, slate at an altitude of 1450 m, Saint Martin de Belleville is a real postcard savoyard village and is said to be the jewel of the 3 Valleys.
St Martin's unique selling point is its link to the vast 600-km Trois Vallees ski area. By taking the gondola (St Martin 1) and the super-fast four-man quad (St Martin 2) you can access Les Menuires on one side and Meribel on the other. There is beautiful off-piste skiing under the Jerusalem chair -refer to the Trois Vallees off-piste guide (ask at the tourist office) for more itineraries and maps. The skiing in St Martin alone goes up to 3200 m and in case of poor snow there are 270 snow cannons in place to keep the resort snow in skiable condition.
There are gentle blues all the way from the top of the St Martin quad back to the village - the return to St Martin is particularly quiet and picturesque.
The nearest reds in St Martin areTeppes and Pramint. Head over to Les Menuires for more variety and a greater challenge.
The area accessible from St Martin is vast, with great expanses of challenging terrain. Add to this a purpose built snowcross track, complete with berms and rolling jumps, in Les Menuires and the terrain parks of Meribel (above Arpasson on theTougnete side of Mottaret) and Courchevel and you have it all. La Masse, up near Les Menuires, is a huge off-piste playground, even if there is a bit of a traverse.

Open door towards the fabulous 3 Valleys ski area (600 km, 200 ski lifts) it is a real village resort, certainly dedicated to lovers of authenticity, but also with all the access facilities, infrastructure and shops expected of an up to date winter sports resort. The pearl in the Vallée des Belleville, Saint Martin is developing in harmony, modernising its ski area, improving its services, envisaging limited property development, which will be composed of beautiful chalets extending the «Grangeraies» area.
Gone are the high mountain resorts, leaving their place to a real village life, where old and young alike, attached to their local language and traditions, share with the visitors, drawn by the snow covered pistes, their way of life, cultural and heritage.
