Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Find Chalets Resort Guide to Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Saalbach-Hinterglemm has a traditional Austrian-style village and lively nightlife.

Saalbach-Hinterglemm is in the Austrian Alps, an easy drive from the city of Salzburg.

Skiing in Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Saalbach-Hinterglemm has a wide range of runs on slopes on both sides of a valley with runs are linked by an efficient modern lift system.

Its slopes resemble a French resort more than a traditional Austrian one - with the added advantage of excellent traditional mountain restaurants dotted around.

Saalbach-Hinterglemmit has impressive snowmaking although it tends to need it!

One side of the valley faces south and these slopes, especially the lower ones, deteriorate quickly whenever the sun shines.

Saalbach's après-ski though is exceptional and very lively - Scandinavian and German visitors are common - and parties start from 3pm until the early hours each day.
