Ski Chalet Details

Chalet de Bonheur is in the bustling village of Formigueres, offering b+b, half board and a self catering apartment.

We offer a family suite on the top floor, accommodating upto five guests, comprising of 2 bedrooms with private facilities. Double, twin and a triple bedroom are also available each offering ample storage space, fresh linen and towels for your stay.

Our well presented self catering apartment sleeps upto four guests with the offer of four course evening meals taken in the main chalet dining room.

Apartment Bonheur - Self Catering Apartment

We offer a ground floor self catering apartment with a double bedroom, a kitchenette / dining room and lounge with a comfortable click clack bed which could sleep a further two guests, with private shower room and toilet. The lounge has a television, cd and dvd player. The kitchenette is well equipped for four guests with a hob and microwave/ grill, fridge freezer, kettle, coffee machine, and a dining table that comfortably seats four. A starter pack can be ready for your arrival, please enquire when booking.

Chalet Food

Enjoy wholesome continental breakfasts, delicious four course evening meals served with wine in the conservatory style dining room.

A typical evening meal: A starter of Homemade Garlic Chicken Liver Pate and freshly baked bread, followed by a main course of Beef Bourguignon served with fresh seasonal vegetables, a dessert of Rich Chocolate Mud Pie, a selection of cheeses, fine local wine and coffee.

An advanced starter food pack is available for self catering guests.

Chalet de Bonheur is based in the bustling mountain village of Formigueres, just 98kms away from Perpignan airport.It offers a provisions store, two patisseries, several lively local bars, a wood fired pizzeria, traditional Catalane restaurants, equipment hire, tourist office, tabac and cash point all located around the village 12th century church.

This magical, unspoilt, ski area high in the Capcir and Cerdagne valleys offers over 280 kms of well groomed pistes with a good ratio of greens, blues, reds and blacks.

We have a high percentage of pistes covered by snow cannons to ensure the best conditions. Formigueres and another 8 ski resorts are covered by just one ski pass, the "Neiges Catalanes" offering some serious skiing.

Other activities to try include a trip to Villefranche on the mountain railway, a visit to the Pyrenean animal park, ice skating, bowling, a relaxing day at thermal pools, enjoy a massage and spa treatments, husky sledding or perhaps a tandem parapent. For the shoppers, Andorra is just 70 kms away!

Out of ski season as well as amazing mountain walks you could try an adventure week, choose from riding, biking, hiking, canyoning, rafting, a high wire course with zip slides, via feratta and lake sailing! Other activities in the area include fishing, golf, parapenting, tennis, wind surfing or simply relaxing.
