Skiing in Nassfeld

Nassfeld has a good snow record with it's high altitude and snow canon coverage. Nassfeld is Carinthia’s largest and most modern ski resort and is probably up there in the Austrian ski resort top ten.The Millennium Express gondola is the longest in Europe and takes just 17 minutes to transport to nearly 2000m up.Stunning views of Austrian and Italian Alps with access to 110km of snow sure pistes to suite all levels of skier with the option of some great off piste into Italy.The longest run, the “Carnia,” is 7.6km long with night skiing of 2.2km floodlit every Wednesday night, making it the longest floodlit piste in the Alps.

Boarders are also well catered for. There are two parks with quarter pipes, kickers, table tops and a snow cross park - the venue of the 2004 Junior World Championships.There is an excellent English speaking ski/board school for beginners.

There are 14 mountain restaurants and bars.There are plenty of lively après ski bars you can visit as you make your way down the mountain. The Baren Hütte is reknown for holding ski parties that go on until late.
