Reviews and Testimonials of Entre Deux Eaux

  • We are 4 ladies who went on a girls ski weekend as a break over mother's day and had a fabulous time. The chalet was lovely, the rooms were a good size, the outdoor hot tub was fabulous after a hard days skiing and the food cooked by Julie was out of this world. Lesley, Julie & Kate were brilliant hosts and could not do enough to help us. They drove us to whatever part of the Portes du Soleil ski area we wanted to go to & acted as very knowledgeable ski hosts guiding us across the mountain. They organised our weekend perfectly ensuring our skis and passes were ready on our arrival and allowed us to ski as late as possible on our last day before driving us back to the airport. They booked us skiing lessons to help us improve our techniques and massages to ease our aching limbs at the end of the day. It even felt as if they had arranged the perfect blue skies we had all weekend. We would definitely recommend this to anyone and hope we'll be back someday. Thank you for a wonderful time. Kathryn, Ann, Jess and Nicky.
  • As first time Portes de Soleil visitors we were in for a real treat staying with Julie, Leslie and Kate our wonderful hosts at Entre Deux Eaux. The beautifully restored ancient forge is tucked away in tranquil Montriond, a 5 minute drive from Morzine and also offering good access to the huge ski area via the Ardent bubble lift 7 minutes up the road past the Lac de Montriond.

Entre Deux Eaux is a fantastic place to stay. Our room was superb; a huge double bed with a luxurious mattress to sink into, fresh crisp linen, fluffy towels and a generous bathroom with both bath and shower cubicle. The communal louge / dinning area is a great place to relax with big comfortable sofas infront of a roaring log fire. There is a seperate TV room with a Wii and Playstation although after such great skiing days we only really had the energy to watch Sky TV and DVDs.

Julie is a great chef and the food is exceptional; French inspired and innovative but hearty and with great variety. We ate fish with fresh vegetables, melt in the mouth steak, a delicious lamb tagine and amazing puddings. Wine was good and the cheese board a cheese fiends delight.

Getting from the breakfast table to the slopes was a stress-free breeze, pulling on warm boots and toasty gloves from the heated boot room downstairs before being chauffeured to and from any part of the resort .

It was our hosts that really made our stay. They are incredibly knowledgable, hugely engaging, passionate, helpful and just great fun to spend time with. As you can tell, we had a rather good time. To top it off we had very good snow, in fact far better than in Courchevel where we went on to a day later. I'm sure we'll be back!
    Rich and Clare
