Ski Chalet Details

We welcome singles, couples and large groups on a half board basis. There is a large dining area where everyone gathers for mealtimes and a lounge area with open fire, TV, dvds, videos and games.

We have a small public bar attached to the chalet which shows live sports games.

The chalet is conveniently situated within easy walking distance of the ski lifts and Morzine town centre (about 750 metres with no hills to climb). Our own minibuses transport you to the ski lifts in the mornings.

Your Winter Holiday :

Our staff are enthusiastic boarders and skiers packed full of local information - help is always on hand from tracking down the best vin chaud on the mountain to finding the ultimate off piste. Our specialist ski/board technician will guide you through the hiring of equipment, will sort out your lift pass and then join you on the slopes for the day. For the more adventurous jump off a mountain (tandem parapente jump) or go onto the deserted night-time ski slopes for an exciting skidoo ride.

Chalet Food

The food is tasty and plentiful to keep you fuelled up ready for action. A hearty continental style breakfast starts your day off with cooked options available until 9.30am. You will then be welcomed back in the afternoon with tea and cakes to keep you going until dinner, which will be a delicious three-course meal prepared from a varied menu and served with wine.

Tea and coffee is readily available at anytime. Vegetarian and special diets are no problem, just let us know in advance.

Our staff has one night off in the week (usually Wednesdays) - we can book a local restaurant for you or you can join in our popular 'curry night'  which is hosted by the Jolly Good bar.

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Ski Chalet Chalet Sherpa is in Morzine, France

Situated just 750m from Morzine town centre and ski lifts in the heart of the massive Portes du Soleil ski region. Only an hour and 30 minutes drive from Geneva airport and 40 minutes from the train stations at either Cluses or Thonon les Bains. Annecy, Chamonix and Evian are also within easy driving distance.

Skiing Information:

The Portes du Soleil is the largest ski area in Europe - covering 12 resorts in both France and Switzerland. There are 650kms of marked pistes in the area and as much off piste as you can ever imagine. The Pleney offers a gentle start with easy gradients perfect for beginners. Head towards les Gets and the runs open out becoming faster and wider, lunch at the top ot the Rosta with views towards Mont Blanc then head to Mont Chery to practice your 'big airs' in the park. No day will be the same. Avoriaz challenges the more advanced - test your skill and nerve on the infamous 'Wall' then experience the powder and tree runs at Lindarets With the amazing variety of runs there is simply something for every standard of skier/boarder to enjoy. No wonder so many people decide to return here year after year.
