Ski Chalet Details

Chalet Les Geckos is a self-catering chalet, situated in the small hamlet of Le Chargeau in one of Morzines most beautiful valleys. Individually designed by a local architect, the chalet offers you space, light and a place to relax after a hard day in the mountains. The chalet was completed to a contemporary design but with traditional materials and craftmanship.

Chalet Les Geckos will delight you with its vast vaulted ceilings, wood burning stoves, traditionally jointed woodwork and huge windows, terraces and balconies which let the Alpine light flood through the rooms creating a cosy yet light and airy space to be in. Underfloor heating downstairs ensures that the chalet is always cosy and warm.

The garden is huge, with wonderful sledging potential. It backs onto the forest and waterfalls, overlooking the river Dranse and cross-country ski runs / mountain-bike trails.

The chalet is in a perfect location for mountain-biking, rock-climbing, skiing, snow-boarding, cross-country skiing, walking and trekking and you can do all these from your front door.

Rental Facilities

The chalet sleeps 8 comfortably in 4 large bedrooms, a flexible mezzanine space offers the potential for two extra beds.

Ther are two double beds with king sized double beds, and two twin bedrooms. All rooms have wonderful views.

The are two family sized bathrooms with bath/shower in each.

The living area is open plan with a large sitting room and dinning area leading to a spacious kitchen containing all the equipment to ensure a successful stay.

The garage has been converted into a large drying room in winter for skis, boots and clothes and a mountain-bike storage area in summer.

The chalet is located in Morzine along the beautiful Vallee de la Manche (3500m from the town centre).

In winter the free bus service stops 50m from the chalet, and the cross-county ski trails pass in front of the chalet.

In summer it is easy to bike into town, to enjoy all the summer activities and visit the wonderfal array of shops.

Morzine is part of the Porte du Soliel ski area which offers one of the most varied ski/snow-boarding areas in the world. The area comprises of 12 resorts, 2 countries, France and Switzerland and 650 km of glourious pistes.

In summer, once the snow has melted, this area becomes stunning alpine meadows with 24 lifts enabling mountain-bikers and walkers to explore and enjoy its natural beauty.

Being in Morzine the chalet is easy to reach by train from London or just an 8 hour drive from the channel ports. Flying is easy as Geneva Airport is just 90 minutess away. We offer transfers from train stations and airports if required.
