Ski Chalet Details

Situated below the sheer face of the Rocher d'Escalade is the spacious and comfortable Chalet Le Moulin.  Our large chalet, which can accommodate up to 12 guests is based in the village of St Jean D'Aulps, part of the massive Portes du soleil ski area.

The chalet is comfortably furnished, with a log fire in the living area and creature comforts such as a TV, video, DVD player and X-box. There is also a stereo and a selection of board games to keep you entertained.

Dinner is served in the dining room adjacent to the living area, where we also have our well stocked honesty bar.

On the ground floor, there is a double bedroom, a second bedroom that sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bunk beds and a good sized shower room. On the main floor, there are two twin bedrooms and a bathroom and in the eaves, a twin room with a third bathroom.

There is also a garage to store skis, boards and boots and a laundry room to dry out any wet skiwear!

If you wish to partake in any additional mountain activities, such as parapenting, dog sledding or ice diving(!) we will happily arrange these for you.

Chalet Food

Breakfast is served daily with a choice of cereals, breads, croissants, juice, tea, coffee and a daily special, such as porridge, bacon & egg muffins or french toast.

Afternoon tea is served when you return from the slopes, with a freshly baked cake including our hugely popular carrot cake!

A three or four course evening meal is served, all freshly cooked using local ingredients wherever possible. An example menu:

• Breaded brie served on a bed of roquette with a spicy apricot chutney
• Honey roasted pork with apple sauce, leek gratin, roast potatoes and crunchy mange tout
• Baileys and chocolate cheesecake with a drizzle of warm creme anglaise
• Cheeseboard

We are based in the traditional Savoyard village of St Jean d'Aulps, just 10 minutes from the centre of Morzine with quick and easy access to Ardent, Avoriaz and Les Gets. This means you are not limited to one ski area - we can choose, on a daily basis, the slopes with the best conditions and suitability for your group and take you directly to them.
