Morzine, at the heart of the Portes du Soleil, with one foot in France and the other in Switzerland, we welcome you to the largest ski area in Europe.
Situated in the historical old part of Morzine, Chalet La Savoyarde is privately owned and has been recently renovated to an exceptionally high standard, with breathtaking views of Le Pleney, Avoriaz and the valley of Morzine. The Chalet is perfectly positioned to offer you easy access to all the main ski lifts and a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Morzine’s shops, bars and restaurants.
If you’re looking for quality accommodation, comfort, relaxation and good value for money then our central location here in Morzine makes Chalet La Savoyarde the perfect choice for your winter break.
Here are just a few reasons why we think Chalet La Savoyarde and Morzine should be your first choice for winter accommodation:
Chalet La Savoyarde has been sympathetically and lovingly restored in keeping with its beautiful surroundings and with your needs and comfort in mind. In the chalet we have used both traditional and contemporary furnishings and decoration to give the chalet its own unique aesthetic style without compromising on the chalet’s authenticity.
The chalet presently accommodates up to 12 guests in 5 luxury en-suite rooms. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the size and quality of our rooms.
Here’s a summary of what the chalet offers:
Chalet La Savoyarde is offered on a self catering basis giving you the freedom to pick and chose what you do and when you do it – including meals.
However we do understand that you won’t always want to come back from a hard day on the slopes and have to buy, prepare and cook a meal for you and your party or go to a restaurant in town – you might just want to lounge on the sofa watching TV in front of the fire and have someone else prepare your evening meal for you.
We have therefore come up with a number of bespoke catering options that we think will suit your needs.
You can upgrade your self catering booking to fully catered and we will cook for you in the chalet. Our weekly catering option includes:

Situated deep in the Dranse River Valley (below the cliff upon which Avoriaz is situated), mid-way between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva, the Savoyard town of Morzine is stunning for Alpine scenery, nestling between forests and summits. Morzine is the largest of the 14 interconnected ski resorts that make up the famed Portes du Soleil region. Here life is leisurely, and the village has lost nothing of its original charm and Savoyard way of life.
Ideally placed right in the middle of the Portes du Soleil, Morzine is the gateway to a marvelous winter playground of 650 km of ski-slopes. In summer, these slopes become sign-posted footpaths for trekking and mountain biking. Not forgetting the miles of open spaces surrounding the ski-runs from where you can head off into the middle of nowhere…
Originally a town before later becoming a ski destination, Morzine has more to do than your average purpose-built resort, and is an excellent holiday option for skiers and non-skiers alike. It has retained its heritage and authentic charm, and the village is permeated with shops selling traditional Savoyard pottery and other handicrafts. Morzine possesses a laid-back atmosphere and holiday spirit which perfectly matches the gentle pace of village life.
