Ski Chalet Details

The chalet sleeps up to 18 guests. All bedrooms are spacious and have handcrafted wooden cupboards for a true charming Alpine feel while providing plenty of hanging and storage space. The four rooms on the first floor have a double bed plus an extra single bed. The remaining rooms are twins/doubles; the single beds can be pushed together to make a large double. All rooms have en suite facilities and each bath or shower room is individual and tastefully modern. The four bedrooms on the top floor are exceptionally spacious and each has a balcony with stunning views. On the ground floor there is a huge 50 sq/m open plan dining / living area. From the dining area French windows open out onto a large sun terrace, an ideal spot for the outdoor hot tub!. As the chalet is south facing you can enjoy the sun all day or in the evening ease those muscles in the hot tub.

Enjoy delicious gourmet meals prepared for you by your chalet hosts served on the majestic oak dining table while taking in the beautiful mountain views over Pleney and Roc D'Enfer.

In the living area plenty of comfortable sofas ensures everyone can stretch out in front of the open roaring log fire. Flat screen TV with satellite and DVD player, IPod docking station and free WiFi Internet access are provided as well as more traditional board games and a stack of cards!

In the basement there is a sauna and we can even book you an in-house massage! Storage for skis and boots is provided in the garage as well as a table tennis table.

Chalet Food

Food is a very important part of your ski chalet holiday and we take a great deal of pride and pleasure in serving you a great selection of culinary delights.Breakfast, usually served between 8am and 9.30am, consists of a daily cooked special (bacon & eggs, pancakes, scrambled eggs, Eggs Benedict etc), complemented by a buffet spread, including fruit juice, a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, croissants and freshly baked bread.Afternoon tea will be laid out for you to help yourselves on your return from the ski slopes. Freshly baked cake, bread and jam, tea and coffee or if you prefer a beer or soft drink from the honesty bar, will provide a welcome stop gap before dinner.Dinner will be served at about 8pm. We serve three courses every night, accompanied by our good quality house wines. Here is a sample menu:-

All main courses are served with a selection of vegetables, pasta, potatoes or wild rice. Dinner is followed by a local cheese board, choice of teas and coffee.

We also cater for guests with special dietary requirements such as allergies (please do let us know at time of booking).

Children's Meals. After a long day skiing, kids often can't wait until 8pm to eat and you may want to enjoy your dinner, children-free, so we are happy to offer children's meals at an earlier time, usually served about 6pm. Typical meals include spaghetti bolognaise, followed by fruit salad and ice-cream. Plain chicken with baked potato and sweet corn followed by apple crumble and custard. Roast pork with apple sauce, roast potatoes and carrots, followed by chocolate mousse. All children's meals (as the adults' meals) are homemade.

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Ski Chalet Brown Bear Lodge is in Morzine, France

The chalet is located in the little ski hamlet of Montriond, 2 minutes from the chalet there is a restaurant and a couple of bars, ski hire shop, and grocery store.

The location is excellent for access to Ardent bubble which is the best access point in the area to Avoriaz, Chatel, Crosset and the rest of the Portes Du Soleil ski area. The drive to Ardent takes 5 minutes in our complimentary shuttle service which we offer in the mornings between 8am and 10am and evenings from 3.30pm onwards.

The location is excellent for skiers and non skiers alike as the free ski bus also passes the chalet for anyone wanting a late start or an early finish.
