Ski Chalet Details

We, Heather & Andy Alpine Ethos and Chalet St Joseph ourselves - a large ski chalet in which we cook delicious food and provide a fantastic service for our guests.

We offer independent catered chalet accommodation in Lea Allues in Meribel, heart of the Three Valleys, providing quality catered ski holidays and snowboarding holidays in the French Alps.

In our experience independent chalet holidays like ours provide a better quality of service with more flexibility and personal touches and therefore a better ski holiday! Our guests will back us up - see our TripAdvisor reviews to find out what they thought of their recent ski holidays with us.

Our chalet is the perfect set up for your stay, with a hot tub and sauna to help ease your legs after a long day on the slopes, three spacious lounge areas each with a large flat screen TV, DVD player, Nintendo Wii and free wifi. 

To make your stay as simple as possible we provide a minibus service to and from the slopes in the mornings and evenings and can help organise lift passes, lessons, and equipment hire before you reach resort. 

Rental Facilities

Chalet St. Joseph is a large chalet sleeping up to 18 people. It is suitable for a variety of group shapes and sizes. Comprising three units (the main chalet floor and two chalet apartments) it can be booked as a whole or by unit to suit smaller groups and/or families.

Main chalet floor

Sleeps 8 guests and comprises:

• Lounge / diner
• Large balcony

Apartments A & B

Each sleeps 4-5 guests and comprises:

• 1 double room
• 1 bathroom
• Large lounge/sleeping area
• Equipped kitchen
• Mezzanine sleeping area
• Balcony

Location

The chalet is situated in the picturesque Savoyarde village of Les Allues in the Meribel valley, just an 8 minute drive from Meribel centre. The chalet is a three minute walk from the bars and restaurants of the village and is also easy walking distance from the free ski bus and the Olympic gondola both of which transport you to the Chaudanne (Meribel's ski lift hub) and the centre of Meribel.

Chalet Food

Apart from snowboarding, food is what we live for. We believe in hearty meals enjoyed at a table with old friends and new, good wine and laughter.

As accomplished cooks we pride ourselves in making delicious, home-cooked food. Our menu is full of British favourites, classic French cuisine and much more besides.

All our food is freshly prepared using carefully sourced ingredients and we are confident you won't leave the table anything less than full, happy and wondering what is for dinner the next night....

Breakfast:

Each morning we serve a continental breakfast, including freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolat. In addition we offer a daily hot option which ranges from fresh pancakes to scrambled eggs with smoked salmon to a "full English".

Afternoon tea:

After a long day on the slopes what better way to refuel than with a freshly brewed cuppa and home-made cake? When you get back to the chalet you'll find a plate of cakes or cookies, bread, a selection of jams and fruit waiting for you.

Dinner

Our evening menu, served on 6 nights, comprises three delicious courses each evening, accompanied with red and white French wines (or beer if you would prefer).

We can tailor our menu to any dietary needs or allergies you might have or if you just don't like certain items on the menu. Vegetarians need not worry as Heather is an ex-vegetarian and will make sure you are well looked after.

Children's meals

We put as much thought into our children's menu as our main menu. For guests aged 12 and under we offer tasty, freshly prepared 2-course children's meals served at an earlier time to the adult's dinner. If you prefer to eat as a family we can serve smaller portions or slight variations of the adult courses to suit younger palates
