Les Gets Practicalities

Practical information and Apres Ski guide to Les Gets

Les Gets is a 12th-century dairy farming village that has retained much of its old Savoyard charm. It's ideal for families, with excellent infrastructure (it has a'P'tits Montagnards'award for childcare), gentle slopes, a good range of accommodation and welcoming locals.

Bars and Clubs

The Irish Bar is cosy and intimate, the Canadian Bar (above the Irish Bar) and Zebra are slightly trendier, and Bar Bush and Le Boomerang are popular. The village nightclub is L'lgloo.

Shopping

Local shops cater well for Savoyarde delicacies, clothing and gifts.

Eating

Restaurants are good although there's not much variety in the cuisine -try Le Flambeau, LeTourbillon, Le Vieux Chene and Le Tyrol. La Tanniere,at the base of the pistes, is also good and the Irish Bar serves food till 2200.
