Ski Chalet Details

Each half chalet is on 3 floors and completely self-contained

Bookings in the Winter and main Summer seasons are strictly Saturday - Saturday

Chalet Pierre                                                                                          2 triple bedrooms + twin/double bedroom all en-suite + sofa bed

L shaped Sitting room with open Fireplace.                          Dining area with seating for up to 8 people                              Patio doors to large south facing covered Terrace with wonderful views over the valley, village & ski slopes.            Fitted Kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge.

Integral garage with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and sink unit.

Outside access from the Terrace to lawned area and on the lower ground level there is parking for 2/3 cars.

Rental Facilities

The chalet has been decorated in traditional alpine reds and green very much as a comfortable private home & wonderful views over the valley and village to ski slopes. 

There is a CD player as well as some puzzles and games in cupboards in the sitting area.

The triple bedroom upstairs 2 single divan beds that can be made up as a  double, plus a 3rd single bed & en-suite shower room

The double/twin bedroom has 2 single divan beds that can be made up as a double bed & the triple bedroom has bunk beds + a single bed both with en-suite bathroom.  

There is also a cot and high chair available on request.

Underfloor heating and electric convector heaters or bathrooms have heated towel rails. 

Outside there external parking for a 3 cars. 

Babysitting can sometimes be arranged in the evening. Daycare facitilities for babies and small children in the village, as well as the toddlers and childrens ski school. 

We can also give contact details for transfers to & from the airport but a hire car is recommended particularly in summer. 

Evening meals can be booked with minimum of 24hrs notice and delivered to your door.  Alternatively there are local firms who will shop & cook all or any meals as required

Ski Chalet Chalet Pierre is in Les Gets, France

As mentioned the chalets are in a quiet cul-de-sac above the village, about 50m from the chalet at the end of the cul-de-sac there is a track across the meadow/slopes leading down to the village centre about 5 minutes walk away.  

In winter snow permitting it is possible to ski straight down to the lifts and village centre.                                                           About 50m behind the chalet there is the free navette bus stop,  takes you to the centre and other lifts                                               In the summer season a free road train goes to & from the village,       both of these run half hourly. 

In winter as well as the skiing, snow boarding, cross country skiing and tobogganing there is an open air ice rink in the main square, a spa centre with indoor swimming pool, gym etc.   It is also possible to learn to drive a team of huskies.

In summer apart from the lake for swimming and park behind the chalets there is a varied selection of activities on offer, including mountain biking, golf, paragliding, white water rafting, downhill go-karting, horse riding & pony rides.  

Of course summer and winter there are miles of walks where you can admire the stunning mountain scenery or for the less energetic one can take one of the lifts or cable cars up to meet friends and family for lunch in one of a selection of mountain cafes & restaurants.

The village itself has a good selection of shops, bakers, chemist, newsagent, 3 small supermarkets, clothes and gift shops, sports shops and sports hire shops.  There is a cinema (shows some English films in season) and a nightclub, many bars and restaurants, one or two have satellite sports channels for football or rugby enthusiasts.

Les Gets is also ideally placed to explore the surrounding area and places of interest, within an hours drive is the town of Chamonix (and the Mont Blanc Tunnel, which goes through to Italy, Lake Como being about 4 hours drive and Milan about 3 hours.) Megeve with its elegant shops, the Lakes of Annecy and Geneva/Lehman both have swimming, water sports, boat hire and ferry rides.   Chatel and the Swiss border is also nearby and some really stunning scenery can be seen if you take the Corbier mountain pass road.

Les Gets Guide

Les Gets shares its local ski area with Morzine and is divided into two areas: Chavannes (linked to Morzine) and Mont-Chery.
