Ski Chalet Details

Each half chalet is on 3 floors and completely self contained Bookings in the Winter and main Summer seasons are strictly Saturday - Saturday

3 Twin/double bedrooms all en-suite + bunk bedroom

Large Sitting room with Fireplace, dining area with 2 tables and seating for up to 16 people,  French doors open onto the large covered Terrace with gate to garden area. 

Open plan fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, electric hob and oven, fridge and microwave, cloackroom with WC. 

Integral garage having washing machine, tumble dryer and sink unit. 

Outside there is a carport + parking for further 2 cars.

Rental Facilities

The chalets have been decorated in traditional alpine reds and green very much as a comfortable private home.  

Lovely views over the valley and village to ski slopes opposite.  There is a CD player as well as some puzzles and games in cupboards in the sitting area.

The 3 double/twin bedrooms each have 2 single divan beds, these can be made up as a double bed if preferred.           There  is also a cot and high chair available on request.

Underfloor heating + electric onvector heaters or bathrooms have heated towel rails. 

Babysitting can sometimes be arranged in the evening and there are daycare facitilities for babies and small children in the village, as well as the toddlers and childrens ski school. 

We can also give contact details for transfers to & from the airport but a hire car is recommended particularly in summer, 

Evening meals can be booked with minimum of 24hrs notice and delivered to your door.                                               Alternatively there are local firms who will shop & cook all or any meals as required

Chalet Food

The chalet is self catering but Evening meals can be ordered and delivered to the chalet ready to reheat and serve by local chef Francois Marchal (formerly ran Le Cofi restaurant in Les Gets) The price for a main course is 15€50 and he also does starters and desserts.  Alternatively he will come and cook to order in the chalet brining all ingrediants, serving and clearing up after.

Bread and croissants can be delivered fresh each morning payment direct to the shop with order

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Ski Chalet Chalet Angelique is in Les Gets, France

French Alps, Rhone Alps, Haute Savoie, Portes du Soleil, Les Gets

As mentioned the chalets are in a quiet cul-de-sac above the village, about 50m from the chalet at the end of the cul-de-sac there is a track leading down to the village centre about 5 minutes walk away.                                                                             In winter snow permitting it is possible to ski straight down to the lifts and village centre.                                                             Also 50m behind the chalet there is the free navette bus stop, in winter this takes you to the centre and other lifts and in the summer season there is a free road train going up and down to the village, both of these run half hourly. 

In winter as well as the skiing, snow boarding, cross country skiing and tobogganing there is an open air ice rink in the main square, a spa centre with indoor swimming pool, gym etc.   It is also possible to learn to drive a team of huskies.

In summer apart from the lake for swimming and park behind the chalets there is a varied selection of activities on offer, including mountain biking, golf, paragliding, white water rafting, downhill go-karting, horse riding & pony rides.  

Of course summer and winter there are miles of walks where you can admire the stunning mountain scenery or for the less energetic one can take one of the lifts or cable cars up to meet friends and family for lunch in one of a selection of mountain cafes & restaurants.

The village itself has a good selection of shops, bakers, chemist, newsagent, 3 small supermarkets, clothes and gift shops, sports shops and sports hire shops.  There is a cinema (shows some English films in season) and a nightclub, many bars and restaurants, one or two have satellite sports channels for football or rugby enthusiasts.

Les Gets is also ideally placed to explore the surrounding area and places of interest, within an hours drive is the town of Chamonix (and the Mont Blanc Tunnel, which goes through to Italy, Lake Como being about 4 hours drive and Milan about 3 hours.) Megeve with its elegant shops, the Lakes of Annecy and Geneva/Lehman both have swimming, water sports, boat hire and ferry rides.   Chatel and the Swiss border is also nearby and some really stunning scenery can be seen if you take the Corbier mountain pass road.
