Les Deux Alpes Practicalities

Practical information and Apres Ski guide to Les Deux Alpes

Venose, at the southern end, boasts the most character, best hotels, bars and restaurants, and has the least through traffic. It also accesses the Diable gondola. The main Jandri Express gondola is in the centre of town near many of the apartments.

Bars and clubs

There are 30 bars packed into the 2-km stretch of Les Deux Alpes and nightlife is boisterous. The bars above continue till late, as do Pub Le Windsor, Le Bresilien and The Secret. L'Avalanche next to Smithy's is the best disco.

Best Apres-ski

Apres kicks off at Smokey Joe's by the Jandri, in Crepes a Gogo and at the Brit hang-outs Smithy's Tavern, The Red Frog and Pub Ours Blanc.

Eating

Visitors to Les Deux Afpes will not go hungry. Crepes a Gogo is lively and does great basics, La Spaghetteria is excellent value and Le Blue Salmon offers everything from moules to fondue. LeCellier (Venose) has a great kids'menu while Smithy's Tavern does fajitas and burgers washed down with racks of vodka. Le P'tit Polyte in Chalet Mounier offers modern French cuisine using local produce accompanied by excellent wines.
