Ski Chalet Details

Our Lodge is situated in the tranquil village of Les Gauchoirs, five minutes from the Venosc gondola that whisks you to the high altitude ski resort of Les Deux Alpes. After the hustle and bustle of a fun-packed day on the slopes, followed by a few apres ski drinks in one of the many resort bars, you will look forward to the peacefulness of our Lodge's location. with stunning views from the terrace and hot tub and the promise of a professionally cooked three course dinner and wine.

The building, which has recently been completely renovated, dates back over two hundred years and is in the typical style of the area. It offers views of the surrounding Ecrins National Park, down the valley to the raging Veneon river and of Les Deux Alpes ski slopes.

Rental Facilities

Our Chalet Lodge features 4 recently renovated bedrooms all with new beds that can be arranged as singles or doubles. We have two twin/double rooms, both with shower/toiler facilities ensuite. One larger family room that sleeps four, with two on a raised mezzaniene also with a shower/toilet room ensuite. The final room is a single with a larger bath/toilet room over the hall. All Shower/Bathrooms have heated towel rails.

Guests have use of the stunning living and dining room with comfy sofa arranged around a wood burning stove. This area leads out onto a large deck area and a large hot tub which has stunning uninterupted view down the valley. The living room has a large Palstma screen with Uk Satelite television, DVD and Wii games system and various board games. Music can be played both inside and outside via CD or MP3 or IPOD. Bring your laptop and log on via our free wireless broadband internet.

We also have our new entrance through a ski locker/drying room where you can store all your wet sports equipment before heading into the dry warm living areas. This area also has a washing and drying mashine for guests use.

Chalet Food

Our winter formula offers half-board catering to take the stress out of cooking at the end of a hard day on the slopes. These home-prepared meals are one of the main reasons why guests choose our Lodge. With more than a decade of experience cooking for VIP guests in luxury mountain resorts and on private yachts, we pride ourselves on providing hearty and delicious menus for our guests.

The half-board formula includes a continental breakfast of fresh croissants, toast, cereals, yogurts, jams, honey, marmite, juice, tea, coffee and fresh fruit.

Afternoon tea, coffee and cake or biscuits are provided on return from the slopes every day.

Our evening meal is a special occasion for our guests. A chance to relax with fellow guests around our dining table, over a delicious three-course meal – all washed down with an excellent local house wine or a cool beer. Feel free to discuss personal dietary needs, allergies or just preferences prior to or during your stay and we will accommodate them wherever possible.

Ski Chalet Ecrins Lodge is in Les Deux Alpes, France

Our Chalet/Lodge is situated in the quiet village of les Gauchoirs, just outside Venosc which has a gondola that connects directly to Les Deux Alpes lift network. Our location cuts down significantly the airport transfer time to just 1h15 from Grenoble and 1h45 from Lyon. We also have the benefit of being much closer to other local ski resorts such as Alpe D'Huez and the off piste resort of La Grave, both at only 25 minutes drive and both are ski-able on the les Deux Alpes week ski pass.

Le Bourg D'Oisnas is just 5 minutes drive away, so perfect location for Summer road cyclists and many of the classic Alpine stages of the Tour de France.
