Ski Chalet Details

Le Palane is a traditionally built, wooden chalet sitting just above the village of Les Carroz d’Arâches, set back from the main route to Flaine and a hundred metres from the free Ski Bus stop.

The accommodation consists of two doubles, a twin and a triple. We are happy to call ourselves full at 9 but we have accommodated much larger groups by utilising fold-out beds.

Le Palane is a catered chalet but we are happy to discuss self-catering options depending on prior bookings. It is available by the room or you can book the entire chalet. 

Double rooms feature DVD players & a balcony with views of the peaks across the Arve valley, and over Les Carroz and Cluses to the north.

We have three bathrooms, one with a bath and two with a shower.

The open-plan dining and living area has a log fire, 37’’ HDTV with UK & local channels, a DVD player and an mp3 hook-up. 

Complimentary internet access is available throughout. 

In the boot room you’ll find boot warmers and plenty of space for your kit to dry out while you’re sat by the fire, with tea and cake. There is also a Wii games console and a PS3 for kids of all ages to use - without taking over the living area.

Chalet Food

Our philosophy at Chalet Le Palane is that you should never leave the table hungry. We have no Michelin star pretentions: our food is hearty & packed with flavour rather than fussy & foamy. 

Breakfast is continental - fresh bread, toast, croissants, preserves, a selection of cereal, juice, tea and coffee - with one hot option daily.

Afternoon tea consists of home-made cake with tea or coffee. 

Dinner is a freshly prepared, three-course meal with wine or beer served 6 nights out of 7. We are happy to book you into one of the local restaurants on our night off. 

Most dietary requirements can be catered for, please let us know upon booking.

Vegetarian food is a speciality, as one of our two chefs is vegetarian.

Less than one hour from Geneva airport, 90 minutes from Chambery airport and only 2 hours from with Lyon or Grenoble airport, Les Carroz is one of the most accessible destinations in the Alps. 

The Grand Massif, with its 265km of pistes, has terrain to suit all abilities but if that is not enough for you we are within one hour of the following resorts:
