Ski Chalet Details

La Ferme Blanche is a gorgeous farmhouse ski chalet with 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people on a sole or shared occupancy basis. As well as the usual catered weeks, B&B, weekend and short breaks are possible too. We have no set changeover day, so you can come and go on whatever day you wish. We also offer free train transfers, and competitively priced airport transfers.

Newly renovated, La Ferme Blanche has lots of rustic alpine charm, including flagstone floors, original timbers, and stone walls nearly a metre thick in places. Ideal for up to 6 people, it has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sitting room with log stove, a large farmhouse kitchen with dining area, ski store and a garden with sun terrace.

Rental Facilities

The chalet sleeps up to 6 people. The two alpine-style bedrooms are spacious and one has it's own balcony. Both have their own shower rooms (one ensuite, and one across the hall) with heated towel rails, and organic toilettries. All the beds have feather duvets and pillows (let us know if you have an allergy!).

There’s also a cosy sitting room with log stove, dining area and doors to the sunny terrace, and a separate breakfast kitchen with doors to the sunken garden patio. Outside there is a lovely garden with panoramic mountain views.

Run by the owners, we take the hassle out of your holiday – arranging lift passes, ski lessons, childcare and anything else you might need. We’re also happy to come out with you and show you around the slopes.

Chalet Food

We use organic and / or locally sourced ingredients where possible, and source the best local produce and artisan foods according to the season. We prepare healthy breakfasts with a daily changing special, and a three course evening meal with wine. We also lay out home made cakes or biscuits in the afternoon. On our night off, you can enjoy a wonderful fireside meal in one of the best "alpage" restaurants in the area - and they'll send a courtesy minibus to pick you up and bring you back.

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Ski Chalet Maison Rosa La Plange is in Les Arcs, France

The farmhouse sits on the top edge of Montvilliers (1100m), a tiny unspoilt hamlet tucked away on the mountainside under Montalbert (one of the La Plagne ski villages). It's a quick 5 minute drive up to the lifts in our courtesy shuttle bus (2.5 miles), and you can ski back off-piste if you dare, although a guide is advisable.

The local skiing in Montalbert is excellent, with slopes to suit every level from beginners to experts. There are beautiful forest runs on the surrounding hillside, several nursery areas, and lots of untracked off-piste to explore.

To reach the lifts, you can use our chauffered minibus service (catered guests only). There are also lots of walks from the house, and you can walk up to the resort itself in about 20 minutes following the forest paths.

Reaching the farmhouse is straightforward by road (Calais 9 hours), rail (Eurostar/TGV direct to Aime- we can pick you up for free) and air (Chambery, Grenoble, Geneva, Lyon - all served by budget airlines and within 1-2hrs of the house).
