Le Grand Bornand is small very pleasant ski resort at the bottom of the Aravis Mountain, between Annecy's Lake, the Mont-Blanc and Geneva, ideal for family ski holidays or short breaks. The resort offers 39 ski lifts, 90km ski-runs, a snowpark, as well as 58km of cross-country skiing. Le Grand-Bornand is connected in ten minutes by shuttle with La Clusaz and Saint Jean de Sixt. The Aravis Massif resorts offer a total of 220 km of slopes and 96 ski lifts.
Le Grand Bornand has two centres, the town centre village is situated at 1000m and the second is Chinaillon set at 1300m with slopes up to 2100m. The village instead of being focused around one central location is set along a skirting road that wind’s up the valley that finishes at the Vallee du Bouchet.

Skiing from the village can be slightly complicated but once you jumped on one the villages two ski gondolas it could not be simpler! Chinaillon is just over 5km from Le Grand Bornand centre and offers a more modern environment but still set in a traditional village, it offers the best access to the slopes and slightly more nightlife than offered in the village.
