Rental Facilities

The basement has a ski and boot room with a heated boot rack thus ensuring you have cosy toes each morning. There is a very large Family Room (double and bunks) room with sofas, perfect for a family who will benefit from discounts for sharing the room. There is a WC in the corridor opposite. This room has its own bathroom opposite with bath, handbasin and separate WC. At the far end of the corridor is a comfy double room and a bunk bed room which share a small bathroom with shower, handbasin and WC.

Stairs lead up to the middle floor where you will find a spacious dining area leading to the kitchen and a comfy lounge area with TV/DVD and ample seating for up to 15 people on fine leather sofas. The Master double room on this floor has a walk-in dressing room and small ensuite bathroom with shower, handbasin and separate WC. There is also a WC in the hallway close to the lounge area. The new extension features a huge south facing balcony which is romantically lit up at night. All the bedrooms have high quality chalet style fixtures and fittings and soft plush carpets.

From the dining room there are stairs leading up to an open suite, a twin with a sofabed (can also be made up as a quad with bunk beds) and a small single room. Both rooms share a bathroom with shower, handbasin and WC. The final room on the Upper Floor is reached via stairs close to the front door and Master double. It features twin beds and an ensuite shower and handbasin.

All the bathrooms feature built-in hairdryers. Another feature of the chalet is real fossils built into the walls in various places in the chalet, an interesting addition for the enthusiast. As well as fluffy towels, comfy slippers and luxurious bathrobes, we add small extras like free use of Facial Saunas and Foot Spas as well as candles for the ultimate chillout experience. The chalet has copious amounts of hot water.

Chalet Chocard is a non-smoking chalet and ashtrays are provided on balconies for smokers. Please refer to the floor plans when booking as you may wish to select a particular room or floor. Your Chalet Hosts eat dinner with you and live out.

Chalet Food

We are as passionate about food as we are about skiing! You can be rest assured of consistently high quality, healthy, delicious meals with SnowCrazy. Almost all our food is homemade, including kiddie’s meals, the croissants are made by a traditional French bakery and baked fresh in the chalet. We aim to provide you with nutritionally balanced delicious meals. We cater for all kinds of diets: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free etc. just let us know your requirements on the Booking Form. If you have any food allergies, intolerances or dislikes, let us know as soon as possible so we can plan a lovely menu for you to avoid disappointment. We believe in steaming vegetables where possible to retain their vitamin and mineral content and garnish to enhance their flavours. All ingredients are bought locally with the minimum of packaging.

Every day (apart from the chalet hosts day off) you can expect breakfast with hot croissants, afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes and biscuits and a stylish candlelit five course dinner party. There is also a fresh fruit bowl available at all times. Dinner is a hearty, wholesome meal. We know how important it is to eat well after a day on the mountain. Dinner commences with aperitifs and canapés, followed by a tasty starter, a scrumptious main course, a dessert to die for and if you’re still hungry there’ll be a cheeseboard with local specialities to sample. Your meal will be served with some delightful local Savoie wines direct from a local vineyard, selected after lots of diligent tastings, the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

Ski Chalet Chalet Chocard is in La Rosiere, France

La Rosière is a wonderfully attractive well-kept French secret. It has a lovely traditional rustic Savoyard feel with low rise chalet-style accommodation built mostly in wood and stone. With 150km of pistes, La Rosière is part of the large Espace San Bernardo, linked to La Thuile in Italy since 1984. The area is the origin of the loveable St. Bernard dogs, the cuddly mountain rescuers, still to be found in resort today (a real treat is in store for the kids when they visit the St. Bernard dog kennels). 

There are spectacular panoramic views from La Rosière across the Tarentaise valley to Les Arcs, up towards St Foy, Val D’Isere and Tignes and down towards Bourg St Maurice, Aime and Moutiers, as well as impressive views of Mont Blanc from the slopes. 

La Rosière is a HIGH ALTITUDE resort at 1850m with the highest on-piste skiing at 2640m and is south facing, enjoying lovely sunshine with an enviable record for excellent snow conditions and huge dumps of snow (*as featured in the Where to Ski and Snowboard Guide 2006). It often has the best snow in the area whilst other resorts are suffering and it lasts right to the end of the season. Queues are rare, even during high season.
