Ski Chalet Details

Chalet JUMIKA was an old, crumbling down barn when it's owners decided to turn it into a "Gite".  It is ideally situated on the road to La PLAGNE and Paradiski. A 5 minute drive from the nearest lifts and slopes and 10 minutes from Plagne Centre. Make the most of the quiet, cosy surroundings in this friendly, well equiped chalet. 

The owners have used ecologically friendly materiels for the renovation including hemp for insulation and partitions.  The walls are decorated with lime and natural pigments. This warm, spacious chalet breathes!

Rental Facilities

Chalet Jumika is a new chalet in an old shell.  All the facilities are new.  The kitchen is fully equiped with oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, mixer, coffee makers and washing machine etc. 

The living room has television, cassette player, Sky television, Hi Fi and plenty of games. 

The bedrooms are spacious and bedding comfortable.  Two bedrooms have on-suite bathrooms and two have a bathroom to share.  There are 3 WC's.  Heating, electricity, water and gas are all inclusive in the price.

Chalet Food

The owners of Chalet Jumika also have a shop selling local foods.  They can give you great prices on all the typical meals, such as fondues, raclettes, tartiflettes, crozets, diots, hams, honey, jams saucissons, wines and Genepi etc. They will also provide the machines to cook them on.  This is a much more practical, friendly and cheaper way of tasting all the local specialities.

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Chalet Jumika is located on the road up to La Plagne.  It is half way up, so it is just as easy to drive to the bottom of the valley as to go to the top of the mountain!  It is a very quiet place where if you are woken by any noise during the summer it will be that of cow bells!  If you are a good off-piste skier you can ski down to the chalet in the winter if the snow conditions permit. If you want to go out for a drink or meal or go night clubing, the centre of La Plagne is only 10 minute's drive away.  The nearest ski lifts are only 5 minute's drive and the parking is free.  You can also leave all your ski gear free at the local shop.
