Ski Chalet Details

The chalet itself, 'Chalet Ecole', began life as a nineteenth century village school. It has been painstakingly renovated to provide a warm and welcoming home-from-home feel with a touch of luxury.

With the chalet situated only 150 metres from the La Roche six man chairlift it's just a short stroll for you to access the huge Paradiski area of La Plagne and Les Arcs.

With boot warmers provided, you can be assured of a dry comfortable start to the day. Any aches and pains you have after a hard days skiing or boarding can be eased in the jacuzzi bath or a steaming power shower. Then relax on comfortable sofas with a glass of wine around the log burning stove while we prepare delicious home cooked food.

After dinner you can retire to the living room to relax and enjoy a selection of books, games, DVDs, Nintendo Wii and satellite TV. For those of you with any energy left we are happy to chauffer you to and from the resort where you can sample the local nightlife.

The chalet sleeps up to 10 people comfortably in two double bedrooms, a twin room and a bunk room sleeping four, and has three bathrooms with WCs.

For smaller groups we are also able to offer exclusive use for up to 6 people in La Petite Ecole.  Part of the same village school this sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms.

Chalet Food

We appreciate that both before and after a day on the slopes you need food that is not only of a high standard but is hearty and satisfying.

To start your day we serve fresh coffee and tea (in bed if you prefer!) and a selection of breakfasts including freshly baked croissants and baguettes.

On your return you can relax with tea, coffee or hot chocolate and feast on homemade cakes and biscuits.

Six evenings a week we will carefully prepare a four course meal using fresh and locally sourced ingredients, with complimentary beer and wine to be served at your table.

We are happy to cater for dietary requirements including vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free and simple allergies. Please do notify us beforehand if you have specific catering needs.

La Roche is a small village lying below Aime 2000 in the heart of La Plagne. With the La Roche chairlift and pistes only 150 metres from our door you will have access to a huge ski area whilst enjoying the peace and calm of a village setting.

La Plagne lies in the Savoie region of the French Alps and consists of ten ski villages offering a variety of skiing and snowboarding for all levels and abilities.

With the opening of the Vanoise Express in 2003 creating a link with Les Arcs you have access to 200 ski lifts and over 450km of skiing ranging from 1350 metres up to 3250 metres. For snowboarders there is a choice of 5 snowparks and 2 halfpipes.

So whether you want perfectly groomed blues or the challenge of reds and blacks or off piste skiing La Plagne caters for all.
