Ski Chalet Details

Ski in, ski out and very spacious, this La Plagne ski chalet, finished in true Alpine style creates an 'old world' feel with a generous use of exposed beams and traditional wood & stone.

The Chalet has a generous lounge/dining room with charming traditional open log fire place and very comfortable sofa seating. From the lounge there are sliding doors onto a large south facing sun terrace where you can take in the  stunning valley views, stretching to Mont Blanc. Bedrooms are all en-suite and  many of them  have balconies with  equally impressive views. Facilities are  modern and ample: Jacuzzi, widescreen satellite TVs, Wi-Fi, Xbox 360, DVD, underfloor heating and heated boot racks to keep you warm and cosy.

Just a short stroll from your chalet, approximately 10 minutes away, is the centre of the attractive village of Les Coches, and with views to die for, we think it is the ideal setting for the perfect ski holiday. Chalet Castor has everything you could wish for from a home away from home.

Chalet Food

Amazing ingredients

Breads and patisseries fresh from the oven, fresh milk and eggs, flavour-filled, regional vegetables, regional charcuterie and pates, mountain grazed meat and some of the World's finest artisanal cheese and select wines. Ingredients like these are a chalet cook's dream and they inspire our talented team to produce dishes that will make your mouth water and make you want to rush home after a hard day's fun on the slopes.

Culinary delights

To help you sample as many culinary delights as possible and make sure you have sufficient energy to ski the whole Paradiski, we serve three meals a day: breakfast, afternoon tea and a wonderful homemade and lovingly prepared dinner, akin to bistro style dining ! A choice of fine wines (2 white, 1 rose and 3 red varieties) are selected to compliment your dinner and are included on an unlimited basis throughout your evening meal in the catered chalet experience price. Your hosts also love good food, so they can make recommendations on the best restaurants to visit during their days off.

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Ski Chalet Chalet Castor is in La Plagne, France

World's largest 'linked' ski area

Paradiski is the largest 'linked' ski area in the world, comprising 144 lifts and 420km of pistes across one lift pass and two of the world's leading ski resorts; Les Arcs and La Plagne. Situated in Haute Savoie in the French Alps, the resorts were linked in time for the 2003/2004 season, allowing plenty of variety on your skiing holiday. The pistes range in altitude from 1,350m to 3,226m providing skiers and snowboarders of all aptitudes with guaranteed snow, no matter what stage of the season.

The huge ski area in Les Arcs and La Plagne offers something for everyone; forest runs, steeps, Europe's longest descent, huge off piste areas, the world speed descent piste, snow parks and hundreds of wide open blue, green and nursery slopes. The sheer size of Paradiski will mean you are never far from a new favourite run, a new challenge or a new bar! What better way to ski the French Alps? The views are incredible, ranging from Mont Blanc and Italy to small farmsteads and forests. The biggest problem with Paradiski is how to ski it all in just one week!

"Both (Les Arcs and La Plagne) resorts have extensive beginners slopes, sweeping groomed pistes ideally suited to intermediates and some challenging advanced terrain on and off piste, on the Bellecote Glacier in La Plagne and the magnificent Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs." -- The Independent

La Plagne Guide

There's no doubt that the profile of La Plagne has gone through the ceiling since the establishment of the Paradiski ski area. Previously overshadowed by its illustrious neighbour, Les Arcs, the added muscle of the Les Arcs region has hoisted La Plagne right up the ladder. Which is just as well, as...
