There's no doubt that the profile of La Plagne has gone through the ceiling since the establishment of the Paradiski ski area. Previously overshadowed by its illustrious neighbour, Les Arcs, the added muscle of the Les Arcs region has hoisted La Plagne right up the ladder. Which is just as well, as La Plagne has long been underrated. Relativelyflat topography makes it great for beginners and intermediates, while experts will love those Les Arcs links and some of the less well-known off-piste runs.

The French alpine resort of La Plagne consists of 6 high altitude resorts;
Each of the 6 resorts are lin
ked by a free transport bus operating from 8am through till midnight everyday allowing you to not only ski between all the resorts but also to enjoy the different restaurants and amenities each location has to offer.

The forests of Peisey Vallandry and Champagny en Vanoise benefit from sunshine from early morning and throughout the day. The north facing gulleys of Montchavin are Arc 1600 provide great snow and piste conditions through to the end of the ski season.
Paradiski has over two peaks over 3000m with vast downhill runs from Aiguille Rouge to Villaroger which will drop you over 2000m whilst skiing down the pistes.
La Plagne sits opposite to Mont Blanc and the Beaufortain massif offering great snow conditions and lively nightlife. Apart from skiing and snowboarding La Plagne offers skidoos, bobsleigh, skating, paragliding and a new 900m snow park.
The majority of the runs in La Plagne are suitable for newbies. To start things off, head to the Roche de Mio, one cable car from PlagneBellecote.There's a restaurant at the top, and a really long motorway run back down (perfect for finding your feet and building confidence) plus awe-inspiring views to get you all jazzed up.
You'll like the slopes and the lack of crowds, especially when compared to some of the busy runs in Les Arcs. Hit the winding tree runs in the Montchavin/Les Coches sector for long, winding pistes. They're great for carving your turns.
The north face of Bellecote is a known freerider haunt, while the glacier of Col de Nant is an incredible run that winds down to Laissonney and its cross-country tracks, before finishing at Champagny le Haut. Here you can catch the bus back to Champagny.
Wait for the snow, hire a guide and then hit the off-piste runs down to Champagny.
La Plagne offers the biggest cable car in the world, the Vanoise Express. An incredible feat of ski technology, the La Plagne – Les Arcs cable car has two double decker car holds 200 people in each section, taking a maximum capacity of 2000 people per hour with one trip taking as staggering 4 minutes from resort to resort.

Crossing between the resorts at a height of 830m from the station at either Peisey 1612 m, to the station at Montchavin les Coches 1548 m, travelling a total distance of 1824m providing great views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding valley.
