La Clusaz Practicalities

Practical information and Apres Ski guide to La Clusaz

Based in the Haute-Savoie region, La Clusaz is close enough to drive to neighbouring towns St Gervais and Megeve. A word of caution - it's often reached by the Col de I'Aravis, an access road with some amazing scenery but one that's also prone to rock falls throughout the year.

Bars and clubs

The Irish bar Salto is worth a visit and Les Caves de Paccalyhas a nice relaxed atmosphere. If you're in the mood, L'Eciuse has a glass floor over the river and is open till 0500.

Eating

Try the Chalet du Lac forsuperb local food and a disturbing range of home-brewed liqueurs. La Table d'UgoH does a great selection of pizzas, while family-friendly restaurants include La Scierie and La Bergerie.

Best Mountain Restaurant

Le Bercail (T+33 (0)450-024375; Iebercail74.com), situated on the Massif de LAiguille, is accessed by skis during the day or a sleigh from the bottom of the slopes at night.
