Ski Chalet Details

The Aravis Lodge is a 100 year old mountain lodge set in the resorts of La CLusaz and Grand Bornand.

The Lodge comprises:

• 17 ensuite twin, double or family bedrooms sleeping up to 40 people
• Spacious dining room for communal sociable meals
• Cafe area with tea and coffee making facilities throughout the day
• Comfortable sunny lounge with sofas, books and games
• Cosy TV room with DVD's, SKY and videos
• Well stocked bar with draft Guiness and Kronenburg as well as bottled beer, spirits, wines and bar games
• Well equipped gym with Sauna room next door and in-house masseuse
• In-house ski hire room with a wide variety of skis and snowboards at very competitive rates.

Rental Facilities

Well equipped gym offering free weights and cardio-vascular machines

New Sauna room with massage bed and jet shower. In-house masseuse available for sports massage.

In house ski hire, with over 150 pairs of skis to choose from, suitable for all levels of skier

Well stocked bar with draft beers as well as wines, bottles of beer and spirits

We also offer ski hosting as part of the standard package - a sociable way of orientating you with the mountain - and evening entertainments such as sledgine or snow shoe walking, all accompanied with some homemade vin chaud!

Chalet Food

A full time professional chef team cook 3 course dinner with wine every night except for chalet night off on a Wednesday.

All our food is freshly prepared using high quality local ingredients.

Hot breakfast is served every morning

Afternoon tea is served every afternoon and includes a fresh selection of homemade cakes daily.

We are a member of the Vegetarian Society and can cater for all dietary requirements including vegans and coaliacs.

A sample menu may include:

Starter: Leek and Roquefort tart served on a bed or red endive

Main: pork loin slow roasted on apples with calvados and cider accompanied by tartiflette and seasonal vegetables 

Veg option: goats cheese bread and butter pudding with tartiflette and seasonal veg

Dessert: chocolate mousse

Coffee and chocolates

Ski Resort and Chalet Location

Ski Chalet Karibuni's Aravis Lodge is in La Clusaz, France

The Aravis Lodge is based in the centre of St Jean de Sixt - just 2 kms from the larger ski resorts of La Clusaz and Grand Bornand.

We provide minibus transfers to and from the resorts - just 5 minutes drive from the Lodge. There is also a free regular ski bus which goes from right outside the Lodge throughout the day.
