Ski Chalet Details

A winter stay at Chalet Le Dragon gives you an exciting new choice everyday – take the gondola opposite the chalet up to Switzerland and join the vast Portes du Soleil area or explore the “Cret Beni”, La Chapelle’s own quieter ski area which is ideally suited to beginners and families – the best of both worlds! There are rarely ski lift queues allowing you more time to enjoy the slopes!

In the summer the choices are also endless for the outdoor adventure enthusiast – try mountain biking, hiking, white water rafting or even parascending to name but a few of the activities.

Chalet Food

Fresh cuisine is a very important part of your holiday.  With this in mind, many traditional, hearty recipes have been specially selected to satisfy your desire for wholesome and nutritional food.  This, together with a splendidly set table and attentive service, will ensure that you look forward to each meal. Remember, we are always happy to discuss specific requirements and requests for particular favourites.

Start the day with a hearty continental breakfast of fresh fruits and yoghurts, choice of cereals (including porridge),  ‘Bakers basket’ – pain au chocolat and croissants, toast with regional confitures and honey, fruit juice, fresh coffee and tea.

Lunch is usually taken up in the mountains enjoying the local fare.  There are many mountain restaurants to choose from – just think, you could be skiing in France and lunching in Switzerland!

After a busy day, afternoon tea awaits you back at the Chalet.  Choose from hot drinks – tea, coffee, hot chocolate, selection of cakes and biscuits (e.g. lemon curd cake, chocolate digestive slices, flapjacks) and fresh fruit.

Guests gather by the fire for nibbles and pre-dinner drinks from the honesty bar at 7.00pm (or at a time of your choice for whole chalet bookings). On five evenings a week, a delicious three course evening meal is served along with our specially chosen complimentary house wines or you can upgrade to a wine of your choice from our cellar.   After dinner, coffee and mints are then served in front of the log fire.  With starry moonlit mountain views from the dining room, each evening will be a true delight in the company of friends old and new.
